Venue and Seating Information

Madison Square Garden is a multi-level indoor arena with a circular bowl layout and four primary seating levels: Floor, 100 Level, 200 Level, and 300 Level. For basketball, the center 100 Level sideline sections are a strong choice for close, direct views of the court. The 200 Level provides an elevated perspective that helps fans follow plays across the floor, while the 300 Level offers a broader overview at a greater distance.

Seats in the highest 300 Level corner areas are less suited to fans who want close-up detail, though they can provide a budget-conscious way to take in the full game. Accessible seating is available across the arena, and the venue's position above Penn Station makes rail and subway access especially convenient.

Parking Information

Parking around Madison Square Garden is limited, and event-night demand can raise prices or fill nearby garages. Consider comparing locations and reserving ahead where possible. General options include:

• Nearby commercial garages around Penn Station and 8th Avenue, generally a short walk from the arena; event parking is approximately $30–$80, with higher prices possible during busy events.
• Garages toward Herald Square or Chelsea, typically a 10–15-minute walk away, with indicative event rates of around $20–$50.
• Limited metered street parking, which is unreliable for event attendance and subject to strict restrictions.

Avoid relying on last-minute parking close to the arena: garages may be full or charge more during major events. Rideshare pickup and drop-off near 7th Avenue and 33rd Street or West 31st Street can be convenient, but traffic congestion may cause delays after the game.
